Today, I’m grateful for the unexpected ways in which God shows up in my life. This literally happened to me recently, when I was in my bedroom and happened to glance up at the wall. To my surprise, while the sun was setting, its light hit the wall (through my blinds) and gave the unmistakable appearance of a cross. I immediately took a picture, and was grateful to the reminder that God really is everywhere all the time – and He sometimes chooses to remind of us His presence in tangible and often unexpected ways. We just need to keep alert, and remember that God loves us, is for us, and desires to have a personal relationship with each of us. What a good God we serve!

Here is my prayer for today: Dear God, thank You for the small reminders of Your presence that You give me each and every day (I don’t always catch them all, but I know that You are speaking into my life on a moment-by-moment basis). Help me to keep my eyes open and my ears attentive to the ways that You are communicating to me each day. I’m grateful for Your continual presence, and the tender care that You show for me. I love You, Lord. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen.
