I’m grateful for this reminder from Proverbs 27, about the importance of living for today, and not concerning ourselves unduly for the future:

The message sure seems to be clear to me – there is great wisdom and focusing my attention (and intention) on today, and leaving the problems of tomorrow in God’s incredibly capable hands.

Here is my prayer for today: Dear Lord, help me to live in the present moment and not concern myself with the things that are beyond my control – today or tomorrow. After all, tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us, so why should I worry about it unnecessarily? When I find myself feeling anxious, remind me to release my daily burdens with You instead. In Your name I pray, Amen.
