As always, I am grateful for the perennial life wisdom found in the book of Proverbs:
Deliverance sounds pretty good to me, so I choose to walk in the way of wisdom. It’s not always easy, as my heart can seem pretty compelling at times. Still, it is not to be trusted. Listened to from time to time, sure! But trusted solely on its own merits? Not so much.
Dear Lord, I thank You for speaking so clearly in this verse from Proverbs 28. You say so much about wisdom and foolishness in this book, so clearly these topics are important to You. Help me to remember that feelings have their place, but they ultimately are not to be trusted or relied upon as the sole basis for decision-making in my life.
Thank You for taking the time to reveal Your pearls of wisdom with me; as with pearls found in the ocean, godly wisdom requires time, effort, and persistence to discern. Thanks for always being so patient with me! In Your name I pray, Amen.
