Periodically, I like to share a passage of Scripture that stirs my heart and sit with it for a little while. I do so today with minimal commentary, as God’s Word truly can stand on its own:
So, while it can seem like God has been quiet or dormant in my life at times, reading these verses reminds me that the Lord is always at work! He is steadfast and vigilant in His love and protection of us, and He truly cares deeply about every person He has made.
While we may not necessarily see the evidence of His handiwork right away, we can rest in the knowledge that God is always sovereignly orchestrating the circumstances of our lives so that we grow in our trust and dependence upon Him.
Dear Lord, thank You for being so active and engaged in the details of our lives – You are never passive! Thanks for the reminder that just because I cannot fully perceive Your actions through my natural senses does not mean that You are not actively at work in my life (and in the world, too).
Remind me to walk by my faith in and dependence upon Your character, and not merely by sight – that is, relying upon input from my senses rather than trusting in You. In Your name I pray, Amen.
