The God of Great Wonders

I came across this verse in my Bible reading today, and it really stirred my heart. We serve a good and powerful God who is still doing great and wonderful things!

The Lord did something significant in my life earlier this week, and I still can’t figure how He brought it to pass. In fact, I may never figure out how He orchestrated it, but I reckon that’s not the point. The main thing is this: when God decides to do something miraculous and wonderful, He does it to demonstrate His power and authority over all that He has made. He selectively breaks in on our lives – simply interrupting the normal course of things – and brings about something so remarkable that you know that it could only come from Him.

The God of great wonders, indeed.

Dear Lord, thank You for being so powerful and caring. You are still doing great things! While I will never be able to anticipate what You will do next (talk about a futile effort – sort of like trying to grasp the wind), I can rest in the knowledge that You are always up to something good, and that Your plan is always for the best (even when I do not understand Your ways). May I never forget Your power and sovereignty over all that You have made. In Your name I pray, Amen.
